Smartie Cookies (recipe)

Here is another recipe from the Big Book of Baking by Love Food. It's very simple so no excuses.

Here is my adaption of their chocolate chip cookies recipe...

Smartie Cookies

(although technically I used M&M's)

INGREDIENTS
175g plain flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
125g soft butter or margarine
85g brown sugar
55g caster sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 egg
1 packet M&M's

METHOD
1. Preheat oven to 190C (375F)
2. Place all ingredients except the M&M's into the bowl of an electric mixer and beat until well combined
3. Place tablespoons of the mixture onto lined baking trays, leaving plenty of room for the biscuits to spread (as you would have noticed the mixture is quite runny)
4. Press M&M's into the tops of the cookies (be very generous because the cookies will grow)
5. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown

So that is it. Simple as! If you want, you can add some M&M's into the bowl in step 2 so that there are even more in your cookies.

Until next time.
